OrthoNow

OrthoNOW Walk-In Injury Evaluation Service

Why wait several hours in an emergency room, when you can have your injury assessed and diagnosed immediately in an office setting?

The Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Specialists of Central Illinois have developed the first and only service in Decatur that allows for new musculoskeletal injuries to be evaluated immediately through our convenient walk-in clinic.

OrthoNOW is designed for those who have sustained injuries including sprains, strains, potential bone fractures, sport-related injuries, and other similar orthopaedic injuries that have occurred within 48 hours.

Having your injury evaluated in the OrthoNOW clinic will save you a lot of time and money compared to an Emergency Room visit, and potentially not being able to get into an orthopaedic specialist for several days or weeks.

Hours of operation for the OrthoNOW service are Monday through Friday from 8:00am-11:00am. You may call ahead or simply walk into the office and request to be seen by one of our sports medicine staff and physicians. The office will be closed on holidays.

What to expect at your OrthoNOW visit

OrthoNow Hours
Monday-Friday: 8:00 – 11:00 am

Please remember to bring your insurance information with you to your visit. Most insurance carriers are accepted. Current insurance card or pre-payment of services is required for walk-in service.

Please Note:
*If the patient is under the age of 8 years old, please contact your primary care provider

*If you are part of Medicare, Medicaid, or if your injury is due to a work-related event, please call our office and we will schedule you with an appointment to see our medical providers. This also applies for any HMO insurance plans that require an authorized referral from a primary care provider unless the written authorization is brought to the walk-in appointment.

Upon arrival, you will check in at the front desk and let the staff know that you would like to be seen in the OrthoNOW clinic. Once your paperwork and insurance information are completed, you will be taken to an evaluation room. You will be assessed by one of our highly-trained nurses or athletic trainers and then by Dr. Kenneth Tuan or Dr. Susan Wu. If an X-ray is needed, you will also receive that during your visit. Once a diagnosis is confirmed, we will set you up with a plan of care to ensure a positive outcome for your injury.
